The Third International Cultural Festival began on May 24th. Eighteen booths attracted students from twenty-nine countries, among which thirteen were countries along the “Belt and One Road”. The theme of the Cultural Festival is "Promote deeper understanding between China and the world".
President Liu Hong and Vice CPC Secretary Li Baozhang attended the opening ceremony. Dean oftheSchool of Chinese StudiesChen Zijiao related the history of the international cultural festival to the audience. Li Baozhang declared the festival open.
Participating international students shared their distinctive cultural costumes, foods and artware,whichdeeply impressed people present.
The prize awarding ceremonyfor the "Dalian Impression—Overseas Students Photo Competition" was also held on campus.
About a dozen reporters from various media companies were present at the event.
